The Parishat houses many exquisite paintings by Nicholas Roerich, Dr. Svetoslav Roerich, H. K. Kejriwal and many more. Exhibitions take place all weekend where local artisans come together to exhibit some of their most original items. The stalls include Madhubani paintings, ceramic cups, decorative articles and much more.

I loved the paintings, home décor items, furniture, organically dyed clothes, handcrafted joothis, sling bags, clay items and the list go on. These items specially designed on a small scale and are not available in local stores or online. If you are a shopaholic looking to set a trend by flaunting off those stylish, ethnic chokers and accessories, then this must be your next place to visit. Thottikallu is a famous tourist spot located in Bangalore off the Kanakapura road which is about 32km from the KSR Bengaluru City Junction in a village called Byalemaradadoddi. Best time to visit the falls is during the rainy season. In summers most often they are dry. If you are okay to see the moderate waters, then you can plan during the month of March-April as well. Bikers can go on a short trip to this beautiful place to enjoy the scenic beauty of the waterfalls in addition to embarking on a trekking activity.

A small temple nearby is divine and peaceful to just sit and relax. People who pass by the temple are tempted to indulge in tangy mangoes, spicy cucumbers, Bhel chats and candies. You can take a dip in the waterfalls and spend some quality time with your friends and family. As there are no stairs to climb or any safety precautions, its best to ensure that you have your trekking shoes, extra clothes, water bottle and a lunch box if you feel hungry. Ethnic wear like sarees or suits might be a bit uncomfortable and risky in case you slip during the trek. Keep them in mind and have a happy weekend.
